We are accepting applications from individuals for the position of a Full Time Evening Shift Mental Health Support Worker for a community mental health group home. The successful candidate will have an interest in working in the human services field, have a current first aid and food-safe certificate (or be able to obtain the certificates within 30 days), have an unrestricted drivers license with a clear driver abstract and complete a criminal record check. Previous experience working with individuals who have a psychiatric diagnosis is preferred, but not required. Duties will include basic household management, providing companionship to residents and modeling/participating in daily activities. Benefits and paid vacation time are available after six months of full-time employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide life-skills modeling in accordance with individualized goals
- Assist with documenting progress towards individualized goals
- Organize and participate in resident activities
- Cue/remind residents re: medications
- Assist residents with accessing community resources
- Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written.
- This is an evening position: Hours of work 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Shifts will include working weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
