Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant:

On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant for a 3 month contract role. This position is fully remote.

Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant - Job Description:

Our healthcare client is undergoing a large-scale reporting transformation initiative, migrating from a legacy SSRS-based environment to a modern Fabric Lakehouse architecture. This role will focus on building scalable data models, developing dashboards, and supporting the migration of a high volume of reports and processes into the new environment.

Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant - Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build and optimize semantic models within Microsoft Fabric
• Support migration of legacy reporting solutions (SSRS and other processes) into Fabric
• Develop and maintain data models aligned with medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers)
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and client-specific data segmentation
• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights
• Support integration of reporting outputs (including flat files and SFTP delivery mechanisms)
• Optimize performance of queries, models, and dashboards

Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant - Mandatory Skills:

• Expert-level Power BI development experience
• Advanced SQL skills
• Strong expertise in DAX
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, semantic models)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts

Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Azure Data Synapse
• Experience migrating from SSRS or legacy reporting platforms
• Exposure to Python, R, or VBA-based reporting processes
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments

Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Consultant – Assignment Length:

This is a 3 month contract position.
