Position OverviewSwimEase is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable Swim Instructor to deliver private and semi-private swimming lessons at residential pools across the GTA. This is a contract-based summer position ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, travelling locally, and teaching in a flexible environment.
The instructor will teach swimmers of all ages and skill levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging setting, with a strong focus on building confidence, technique, and water safety.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to clients’ homes to conduct swim lessons
- Deliver structured, high-quality lessons tailored to each swimmer’s age and ability
- Teach a wide range of students, including infants, beginners, and advanced swimmers
- Ensure a safe, positive, and professional learning environment at all times
- Track student progress and provide feedback to clients/parents after lessons
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices
- Prepare lesson plans that promote skill development, confidence, and enjoyment
Job DetailsJob Type: Part-Time, Contract, Seasonal (June or May until August)
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Incentives: Commission-based bonuses for bringing in new clients
Location: Mobile (GTA - travel required)
Required Qualifications- Strong background in swimming with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently
- Teaching experience or a natural aptitude for instructing others in water-based activities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach diverse age groups and skill levels
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to motivate students of all ages
- Knowledge of water safety protocols and emergency procedures is preferred but not required; training will be provided if needed
- Reliable transportation (required, as this is a mobile role)
- Punctual, responsible, and self-motivated
Certifications (Required):- CPR-C & First Aid
- National Lifeguard (Pool)
