Job OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle freight efficiently. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the company's reputation for professionalism and safety.
Responsibilities- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Ensure all freight is secured properly during transportation to prevent damage or accidents.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
Requirements- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
- Experience in moving freight, including handling large or heavy items.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform related tasks as needed.
