Senior Support Services – LLG, a non-profit charitable community support service provider invites applications for a Part Time Service Assistant - Lifeline (guaranteed 1 day (7.5 hours) per week), with the potential for additional hours available in other programs or areas within the organization based on operational needs. Reporting to the Lifeline Manager, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills, and will relate well to participants, families, staff, Lifeline Installers and community partners.
Primary Responsibilities:- Providing support for the Lifeline program.
- Providing information and support to Lifeline clients, prospective clients, Installers, and the Manager.
- Input, update & maintain client management system in Lifeline Partner Portal.
- Ensures effective office and telephone public relations with clients, Installers, and other agencies.
- Preparing Lifeline equipment for installers.
- Troubleshooting with clients over the phone.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:- The ability to efficiently and accurately enter and manage electronic client data within defined time frames is essential.
- Course and/or experience in working with seniors and volunteers preferred.
- Experience with Lifeline Partner Portal and NESDA Client Management System (or similar software), preferred.
- Certificate from a recognized Community College in Office Administration an asset.
- Strong computer skills mandatory including Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet, and Email.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Position Details:This position is part-time (guaranteed 1 day (7.5 hours) per week), with the potential for additional hours available in other programs or areas within the organization based on operational needs.
- Salary range $23.22 - $24.55 / hour + % in lieu
- This position is unionized – SEIU Local 1 Canada
