Your Role:As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you’ll be a vital part of our team, providing compassionate, skilled care to clients in a community/homecare setting. You’ll assist with daily living activities and make a positive impact on those who rely on your support.
You may be asked to complete any of the following tasks: Feeding, dressing, bathing, transferring, incontinence care, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation assistance, light housekeeping, and general companionship.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:- Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited college in Canada (or relevant certificate and experience)
- Personal vehicle and driver’s license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of PSW experience in community, long-term care, or hospital settings
- Caring, empathetic, and respectful approach to patients
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Flexibility to adapt to new environments
- Decision-making skills to ensure timely, effective care
- Basic computer skills for correspondence and documentation
- Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, and transferring patients safely
Additional Assets:- Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA)
- Crisis Prevention Training (CPI)
- Experience with patient manual/electric lifts
- Food Handler Certificate
- Experience providing companionship to patients
Requirements:- Reliable transportation
- Proof of immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, COVID-19, Influenza)
- N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
