Job SummaryWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Chinese speaking Support Workers to provide high-quality care to our residents in a healthcare or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, medication management, and emotional support, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, people with disabilities, and those requiring dementia or hospice care. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents through attentive and respectful caregiving.
Duties- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and medical terminology guidelines
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs in accordance with care plans
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident rooms and common areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff or case management team
- Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) tailored to individual needs, including mobility assistance and transferring
- Assist with documentation related to patient care, medication administration, and incident reports
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements- Prior experience in nursing homes, senior care, home care, or working with people with disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, medical terminology, and case management is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle physically demanding tasks safely
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Certification in medication administration or willingness to obtain relevant certifications is a plus
- Experience in assisted living environments or patient care settings is desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may involve evenings or weekends as needed
- Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
