The PMO Analyst plays a key role in enabling the effective delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, including technology implementations, business process improvements, facilities renovations and construction, by strengthening project management processes, tools, and reporting.
Reporting to theDirector, Projects and Continuous Improvement, the PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst partners with Department Leaders, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to provide analytical, coordination, and financial support, while also driving continuous improvement in how projects are planned, governed and delivered.

How You'll ContributePMO Process, Methodology, and Tools:- Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of PMO standards, methodologies, templates, and tools
- Lead and support process mapping initiatives to document and improve project delivery, governance, and reporting workflows
- Maintain and enhance project management systems, SharePoint, PowerBI dashboards, and reporting tools
- Support data collection and analysis for portfolio-level reporting, performance metrics, and executive reporting.
- Maintain the department’s reporting dashboards and recommend improvements as needed.
- Promote consistent application of PMO practices while adapting project requirements
- Support onboarding of new resources (employees and contractors), guiding them through project methodologies, tools, and overall project approaches.
Financial Tracking And Reporting- Support project financial management, track commitments, purchase orders, vendor agreements, invoices, accruals, and expenditures across projects
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, cost analysis, and financial forecasts
- Identify and flag financial risks, anomalies, or emerging cost pressures
- Support alignment between project financial data and institutional finance systems
Project Delivery And Analytical Support- Provide analytical and coordination support to Department Leaders, Project Managers, and Business Analysts delivering projects
- Support the preparation of clear, concise project status reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for stakeholders
- Support coordination of project meetings, workshops, and working sessions; document decisions, actions, and outcomes
- Support effective communication and alignment across internal teams, vendors, contractors, consultants, and technology partners
- Shadow and support Project Managers and Business Analysts as a means of learning and development for future career path opportunities.
Continuous Improvement And Enablement- Take initiative to identify opportunities to improve project controls, reporting quality, and delivery efficiency
- Analyze project and portfolio data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities
- Support lessons learned, post-project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a trusted partner to Leaders and Project Managers by anticipating needs and providing practical, data-driven solutions
What You Bring- Bachelor's Degree in project management, business, finance, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a PMO, project analyst, project controls, or project support role.
- 2-3 years of experience with financial controls including purchase orders, invoice tracking and management, vendor agreement tracking, as well as project budget forecasting and cost management.
- Project management or business analysis certification (CAPM, PMP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and delivery approaches.
- Experience supporting project financial tracking, reporting, cost controls.
- Exposure to PMO governance, portfolio reporting or methodology development is an asset.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g. Visio, PowerBI, etc.).
- Strong Excel skills including data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ability to structure, analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Experience creating dashboards, templates, process maps, and documentation.
