The Information Technology division (ITD) of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement supplies a full-range of IT services to government ministries and agencies. The Digital Platforms and Services branch of the Information Technology division is looking for a motivated and results oriented individual for a Programmer Analyst position.
This position will provide support to the application systems, using technologies such as but not limited to Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Powershell, DevOps/Git, ShareGate and Microsoft Power Platform Suite including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
You will have the demonstrated ability to:- Provision and manage SharePoint sites;
- Create solutions for SharePoint Online utilizing M365 capabilities including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint Framework (SPFx);
- Support and maintain platforms, such as but not limited to; SharePoint Online and Onedrive;
- Plan, create, configure, customize, check, and resolve issues related to SharePoint Sites and user requirements;
- Provide support and technical expertise to plan and assist with SharePoint migrations;
- Design new or adapt existing systems/applications taking into account alternatives, business requirements and cost, resource and time constraints;
- Work independently and participate as a team member to meet the needs of clients and co-workers and to build productive, positive work relationships;
- Independently prioritize and organize one’s own workload to meet tight deadlines and successfully complete projects in a changing environment;
- Diagnose technical problems such as delays, malfunctions and errors in order to determine the true cause of the problem and provide an optimal solution in a reasonable timeframe;
- Support, write and execute scripts using a variety of tools; and
- Verbally and in writing explain or present information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals and/or groups in a clear, accurate and understandable manner.
Typically the knowledge and skills required for this position were obtained through:- Completion of a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, supplemented with experience working in an application development environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Experience in programming, researching, developing and implementing solutions for enterprise applications or cloud-based systems;
- Knowledge of various programming concepts and languages; and
- Demonstrated experience using SharePoint Online and Power Platform.
