An international company, recognized for its expertise in managing industrial projects and their optimal transition from construction to operation, is currently looking for Project Control Directors to work on different projects.
Main Responsibilities:The Project Control Director is responsible for the implementation of the tools, systems and work processes to effectively manage the control and reporting of costs, timelines and project progress. He is also responsible for leading, coordinating, evaluating and supporting a team of project control specialists.
- Develop and implement a project control plan as part of the project implementation plan
- Develop costs, schedules and baseline estimate
- Lead, coordinate, evaluate and support a team of project control specialists
- Analyze variances in costs and timelines against the plan and communicate reasons for variances and proposed mitigation plans to project management
- Supervise the definition and implementation of WBS
- Perform planning, cost control, progress measurement and collection of performance data such as installed quantities and progress measurement data
- Manage and track all changes and potential changes, ensuring that cost estimates and schedule changes are visible to the client and project management
- Analyze the risks of the project
- Contribute to team performance while combining technical skills, leadership, teamwork and people management skills.
Requirements:- Bachelor of Engineering
- Have a minimum of 7 years of experience as Project Control Manager
- Have a minimum of 12-15 years of total experience
- Must have been exposed to large-scale projects and large project teams
- Bilingual: English, French (Bilingualism is required for this position, as the employee will be communicating on a daily basis with stakeholders (customers and colleagues) outside Quebec who do not speak French)
- Experience with project control (cost, planning and estimation)
- Strong know-how in project control tools and work processes
- Experience in all phases of engineering, procurement and construction
- Knowledge of contracts and contract administration
- Experience managing small teams
- Proven ability to work with project teams to influence and achieve desired results
- Proficient in MS Office (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, graphics) and the project
