About The RoleThe Project Lead manages day-to-day campaign execution and oversees a small media activation team on an account. This role balances hands-on activation with people management, delivering cross-platform media plans, driving campaign performance, and supporting team growth and client satisfaction. Ideal for an individual stepping into their first direct-report management role.
Responsibilities- Own day-to-day campaign operations across paid search, paid social, programmatic/display, CTV, video, audio, and emerging channels.
- Translate cross-platform strategy into accurate trafficking, pacing, optimizations, and testing across channels.
- Manage and mentor a small team of media activation specialists: assign tasks, run regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support skills development.
- Monitor campaign performance against KPIs; perform routine optimizations, A/B tests, and escalate larger strategic or performance issues as needed.
- Prepare and present regular performance summaries, status updates, and actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain campaign documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate with analytics, creative, account management, and sales to ensure seamless execution and timely asset delivery.
- Manage budget pacing, forecasting, and basic billing-related tracking for assigned campaigns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains; lead small implementation initiatives.
- Contribute to client growth by recommending tactical upsells, pilots, or new channel tests that align with client objectives
About YouThe essentials:
- 2–4+ years in paid media with hands-on experience in campaign activation and optimization (agency experience preferred).
- Some prior experience mentoring or informally managing others; ready to take on first direct reports.
- Practical knowledge of major ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, programmatic DSPs, CTV platforms) and reporting/analytics tools (GA4, platform reporting, Excel/Sheets).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear oral and written communication; comfortable delivering operational updates and presenting findings to clients.
- Data-driven mindset and problem-solving orientation.
- Proactive, collaborative, and results-focused with a bias for action.
