Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver soil erosion control and stabilization projects within municipal and heavy civil infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site development, earthworks, drainage systems, and erosion control measures, with the ability to manage projects from planning through execution while ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end execution of soil erosion and slope stabilization projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee site activities including grading, drainage, retaining structures, geotextiles, and erosion control systems.
- Coordinate with municipal authorities, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor site progress, productivity, and quality of work.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and safety standards.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Identify risks related to soil conditions, weather impact, and site constraints, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and procurement processes.
- Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and cost forecasts to stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation including daily reports, change orders, and project close-out documentation.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil, municipal infrastructure, or erosion control projects.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, drainage systems, and erosion control techniques.
- Experience with slope stabilization, retaining walls, gabions, riprap, hydroseeding, or similar systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of local municipal codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working on government or municipal projects.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or civil design software.
- Experience in environmentally sensitive or regulated project environments.
