Job SummaryInterior Lawn & Landscape are hiring a skilled and reliable Project Technician to support a wide range of construction, landscaping, and property improvement projects.
This role involves working both independently and as part of a team on various builds including decks, fencing, pavers, garden beds, earthworks, and general renovation or handyman work.
The ideal candidate is confident, experienced, and dependable, with strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to both project execution and internal sales opportunities.
Work schedules are flexible and based on project needs.
Duties:- Assist with and complete construction and landscaping projects
- Build and install decks, fencing, and outdoor structures
- Perform paver installation, ground prep, and landscaping work
- Complete general handyman and renovation tasks
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with or operate equipment (loaders, skid steers, mini excavators where applicable)
- Work independently or alongside a team depending on project scope
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Communicate professionally with team members and clients
- Identify opportunities for additional work or services while on-site
- Assist with internal sales by recommending services or upgrades to clients
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
- Assist with material pickups and job site logistics
- Support basic job quoting and project planning (asset)
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and site setup
- Identify and report issues or improvements on projects
- Assist or fill in on landscaping maintenance routes when required
- Complete job documentation, reports, and required paperwork
- Conduct and document basic hazard assessments and follow safe work practices
Requirements:- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (clean driving record required)
- Clean criminal record (or ability to pass a background check)
- Proven experience in construction, renovations, landscaping, or similar work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance
- Ability to show up on time and meet project schedules
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Mechanically inclined and capable of problem-solving on-site
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with clients and identifying sales opportunities
- Physically capable of handling demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Flexible schedule and availability
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to complete documentation and reports
- Safety-focused with ability to recognize hazards and follow safe work procedures
Certifications & Assets (Strongly Considered):- Red Seal trade certification (top pay opportunities available)
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Experience operating equipment (skid steer, loader, mini excavator, etc.)
- Experience dealing with vendors, suppliers, and material coordination
- Experience with material pickups, job logistics, and site organization
- Ability to assist with quoting jobs and project planning
- Additional construction or trade-related certifications
Compensation & Perks:- $22 – $40/hour (based on experience and certifications)
