The Sales Support Representative is responsible for providing administrative, analytical, and operational support to the National Account Sales Team.
This 100% on-site role enhances sales effectiveness by managing reporting, customer program administration, data accuracy, and cross functional coordination to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and account performance.
As a key contributor to the National Accounts function, the Sales Support Representative helps drive strong account execution through proactive communication, reliable data management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for national accounts.
- Monitor account-specific performance and highlight accounts performing above or below target thresholds.
- Conduct order and ETA research and respond to key and national customer inquiries.
- Manage scrap recovery reporting and validate data with the Finance Department.
- Review warranty-related data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support management of active orders and provide weekly reports to client base.
- Identify data inconsistencies and work with internal teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain customer portals and complete customer specific administrative requirements.
- Maintain pricing databases and update retail and competitor pricing as required.
- Collect data and feedback from Sales and Customer Service teams to identify and develop tools and procedures that will improve sales execution.
- Create reports, surveys, presentations, and program materials as needed.
- Participate in meetings, take notes, and execute follow up actions.
- Liaise with internal departments to support customer programs, reviews, and rollouts.
- Maintain accurate product information and internal documentation in partnership with Master Data.
- Support customer needs, technical inquiries, escalations, and training activities.
Experience & Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in administration, sales support, reporting, and/or account management.
- Post secondary education in business, sales, or marketing, or a mix of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong customer service orientation with urgency, proactive follow up, and consistent status updates.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Creative problem solving abilities with demonstrated troubleshooting capability.
- Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Self motivated, results oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, inventory systems, and sales management platforms.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel abilities including formulas, pivot tables, V/X lookups, and data analysis tools.
- Experience gained in industrial or automotive sectors a strong asset.
