SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes. This role involves designing, building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support hosted applications. You will collaborate with internal teams and external customers to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and ensure successful delivery of cloud solutions.
What will your typical day look like?In this role you will be designing and deploying GCP infrastructure using services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, App Engine, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). You will automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Terragrunt, following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices. Your day will also include designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build, and ensuring adherence to cloud governance, security, and compliance standards. You will develop and implement automated monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Additionally, you will lead incident response and resolution efforts, participating in on-call rotations as needed. Collaboration with internal teams and external customers to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions is a key aspect of your work. You will also document operational processes, procedures, and configurations to support knowledge sharing and compliance. Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, you will provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, App Engine, GKE).
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications- GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Additional experience with non-Cloud Native monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
