GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOBThe Senior Engineer provides safe, "Best for Project" solutions for complex projects while ensuring regulatory compliance across all engineering deliverables. This role is responsible for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; completing, reviewing, and securely storing all required calculations; maintaining knowledge of applicable codes and standards; reviewing engineering deliverables for adherence to the scope of work; planning and monitoring quality assurance requirements; checking and stamping the work of EITs; performing peer reviews; and maintaining and continuously improving technical skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHEALTH AND SAFETY- Work in compliance with all Cementation Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Identify health and safety hazards or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department.
- Ensure all applicable safety codes and regulations are met through appropriate design and use of technology.
- Act as a safety champion by promoting safe behaviours and integrating safety into all designs produced by the group.

- Provide mechanical engineering group levelofeffort estimates in support of proposal submissions.
- Attend technical conferences as requested, representing Cementation's capabilities and participating in seminars to further Cementation's technical knowledge.
- Participate in marketing or bid meetings as required to respond to questions related to project scope or Cementation's technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with Project Services and Operations to produce "Best for Project" designs that are safe, constructible, and prioritize the client's operability requirements.
- Actively contribute to the development of Intermediate Engineers and EngineersinTraining by providing technical direction and mentorship.
- As a subjectmatter expert in the engineering software used by the group, identify and support the group's software and hardware needs, including monitoring and maintaining software interoperability.
- Regularly review state-of-the-art software and hardware industry developments, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks to ensure long-term technical capability and viability.
- Lead the development of off-the-shelf design projects.
- Lead the maintenance and development of departmental standards, as assigned, ensuring conformance with applicable codes, standards, and mining regulations.
- As assigned, develop, implement, and maintain discipline-specific standards, including specifications, design basis and criteria templates, design spreadsheets, workflow procedures, and change management forms.
- Provide direction and supervision to Engineers-in-Training, including technical review of work, verification of compliance with company and regulatory standards, codes, and regulations, and approval and stamping of their work.
- Participate in mechanical engineering group recruiting efforts by interviewing and assessing candidates.
- In collaboration with other Discipline Leads, and in alignment with project requirements, prepare Scope of Work technical descriptions for procurement packages, including references to applicable design documents.
- Identify long-lead procurement items, understand current industry delivery periods, and develop the required technical and scope-of-work documentation in collaboration with the Procurement Team to support timely issuance of procurement packages and adherence to project schedules.
- Provide technical assi
