We are seeking a Senior Economic Analyst with strong experience in macro analysis, policy interpretation, and cross-border economic trends to contribute to high-quality research outputs, including reports, briefs, and strategic insights.
This is a part-time / contract-based role ideal for professionals with backgrounds in consulting, finance, public policy, or research institutions.
Responsibilities- Conduct macroeconomic and policy analysis related to China and the broader Asia-Pacific region
- Track and interpret government policies, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments
- Analyze cross-border economic flows, including trade, capital, supply chains, and industrial policy
- Produce structured research outputs, including:
- Policy briefs
- Strategic memos
- Contribute to comparative analysis (e.g., China vs. US / EU / ASEAN)
- Support development of frameworks and narratives for decision-makers and external audiences
Qualifications3–8+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Economic research / macro analysis
- Consulting (strategy / economic / public sector)
- Investment research / financial analysis
- Government, think tanks, or policy institutions
Strong understanding of:- China’s economic system and policy environment
- Asia-Pacific economic dynamics
Proven ability to produce clear, structured, and insight-driven analysis
Excellent writing skills in English (report-level writing required)
Ability to work independently and deliver on deadlines
