Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in the Ottawa Ontario Area, Canada. The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting critical power systems and equipment. Daily tasks include performing diagnostics, executing preventative maintenance procedures, and providing technical support to clients. Additionally, the Technician will ensure compliance with safety standards, document processes, and deliver exceptional service to clients. This role requires travel to various client sites within the region as needed.
Qualifications- Electrical and Mechanical Skills: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS systems, generators, and other critical power equipment.
- Technical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, interpreting technical diagrams, and troubleshooting complex systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to clearly explain technical concepts to clients and team members. Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications and Certifications: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Red Seal Electrician or other industry-recognized credentials, are a strong asset.
- Professional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the critical power industry is essential.
- Experience: Prior hands-on experience in a similar role is highly preferred, particularly in the critical power or electrical industry.
