New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a full time Senior IT Administrator to work on-site for our client based in Surrey, BC. This role is responsible for leading the management, security, and reliability of enterprise IT infrastructure across a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise across network infrastructure, cybersecurity, virtualization, and cloud platforms, along with the ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires participation in after-hours support, including responding to critical incidents and infrastructure issues.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including Fortinet firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN connectivity
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, hybrid cloud environments, and SAML authentication
- Experience with incident Response Plans (IRP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) implementation
- Implement and manage cybersecurity programs
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and ensure compliance with security standards
- Administer backup, virtualization, and storage platforms including Veeam and VMWare
- Provide after-hours support for emergencies and outages
- Utilize remote management tools and ticketing systems for monitoring and issue resolution
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell
- Provide end-user support and mentor junior staff
- Support remote branch offices and infrastructure
- Plan and execute IT projects including upgrades and migrations
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of IT administration experience
- Extensive experience with Fortinet firewalls and VPNs
- Experience with VMWare, Veeam, and Microsoft 365
- Strong cybersecurity and incident response knowledge
- Experience with hybrid environments and multi-site infrastructure
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Ability to work independently and after-hours when required
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
