Role: Senior Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Online Specialist
Part time work
Remote within British Columbia only.
Required Qualifications:- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online administration
- Strong knowledge of governance, security, and compliance within M365
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and records management
- Experience supporting Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Proven ability to support enterprise or public sector environments
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Microsoft Copilot implementation and governance
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, SC-400, PL-900)
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments

Role Summary:The Senior Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Online Specialist provides advanced operational, advisory, and technical support for enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, with a focus on SharePoint Online, governance, compliance, and emerging capabilities such as Copilot and the Power Platform. This role operates remotely and delivers services on an on-demand basis, aligned with British Columbia (Pacific Time) business hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesSharePoint Online Administration- Provide advanced administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of SharePoint Online environments
- Design and optimize site architecture, permissions, navigation, and performance
- Support incremental enhancements to existing SharePoint solutions
Microsoft 365 Tenant Governance- Support M365 tenant administration and configuration across workloads
- Develop and apply governance models, policies, and standards
- Assess and respond to Microsoft roadmap updates and platform changes
Records Management and Compliance- Configure and support records management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Purview)
- Implement and maintain retention, classification, and disposition policies
- Ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational compliance requirements
Power Platform Support- Provide support for Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
- Maintain and enhance existing low-code applications
- Advise on governance and lifecycle management practices
Copilot and Emerging Capabilities- Support readiness, adoption, and governance of Microsoft Copilot
- Identify use cases, risks, and controls
- Integrate emerging M365 capabilities into the digital workplace
Training and Enablement- Deliver targeted training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities
- Develop documentation, user guides, and best practices
- Support internal capability development through structured knowledge transfer
Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer- Work collaboratively with internal technical and business teams
- Provide documentation and walkthroughs to support operational continuity
- Act as a trusted advisor for ongoing platform optimization
Working Model- Services delivered remotely
- Availability aligned with Pacific Time (British Columbia) business hours
- Engagement provided on a part-time, on-demand basis
- Ability to scale effort up or down based on operational needs
