The Opportunity:ML6 is excited to partner with one of our trusted and highly respected General Contractor clients in their search for a skilled Project Manager to join their growing construction team in Waterloo, ON. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative and well-established builder delivering impactful projects across the region, while playing a key role in the successful execution of complex builds.
What You'll Be Doing:- Organize, schedule, and lead project meetings with internal teams, clients, and subtrades; document action items and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate project records, logs, and documentation; ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Develop, update, and manage project schedules; coordinate timelines with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure milestones are met.
- Prepare and review progress billings; track financials against budgets and communicate variances to stakeholders.
- Ensure all site operations comply with Ontario health and safety standards; coordinate inspections, reports, and corrective actions.
- Track project costs, monitor budgets, and provide detailed cost reports; identify potential savings or risk areas.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment and services; ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Oversee contract administration, including contracts; review, negotiate, and implement terms.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Lead projects up to $5M–$25M (approx.) from preconstruction through completion, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related industry experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the ICI construction sector, with additional exposure to any: water, wastewater, mechanical, electrical, heavy civil projects considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, regulations, and construction standards.
- Proficiency with common Project Management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certifications are an asset.
Compensation Range:$115,000 - $130,000
