JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is looking to bring on a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to support quality assurance and automation efforts across complex integration and software development projects for a large security client. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Python, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable systems. The ideal candidate is a strong developer first, with a testing mindset, experienced in building automation frameworks and working across integrated systems and APIs. This position is 100% remote working in EST time zone.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong focus on automation
- Proven experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer
- Strong programming skills in:
- Python (primary language for test automation)
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Strong experience with:
- API testing (Postman, REST clients, automated API frameworks)
- Integration and end-to-end testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile environments
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Experience testing integration-heavy systems or distributed architectures
- Experience working with sensitive, confidential, or restricted data environments
- Knowledge of performance or load testing tools
- Experience with test data management and data validation across systems
- Understanding of security testing practices
