We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Sr. Structural Engineer.

The Successful Candidate should demonstrate a solid expertise in structural analysis and design through solid previous track record.

As a member of our engineering team, your responsibilities include:

• Prepare detailed structural design of buildings including residential, commercial, and institutional buildings
• Assist with the development of preliminary structural design concepts.
• Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion of construction
• Review internal and external shop drawings for compliance with the construction documents and applicable codes
• Assist in developing structural drawings, details, and specifications as required in Revit
• Perform estimation related tasks with accuracy and reliability under minimal supervision.
• Coordination with internal and external parties to clarify and resolve any discrepancies or concerns.

The successful candidate with possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is a MUST with P.ENG. designation.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the practice of structural engineering related to residential, commercial, and institutional buildings structural design (compensation package will vary depending on the level of experience).
• Processionary in Structural Analysis and Design
• Proficiency in application of Canadian Codes and Standards
• Proficiency in structural design software and Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a MUST
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong technical, organizational and communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative, high paced, team environment
• Familiarity with Cold-formed Steel design is considered an asset
• Ability to manage other team members as required
• Effective time management is required
