Role OverviewThe Store & Sales Manager is the main operator of the Calgary location.
This role is responsible for revenue performance, team leadership, operational excellence, customer experience, and brand standards. The Store Manager owns store results end-to-end.
While the store operates 7 days per week, the Store Manager oversees scheduling and coverage to ensure consistent leadership presence. In the event of emergencies, client escalations, operational breakdowns, or staffing issues, this is the first point of contact.
This is a leadership position with full accountability for performance.

1. Revenue & Profitability OwnershipThe Store Manager is accountable for hitting Calgary’s monthly revenue targets and pacing daily performance accordingly. This role requires comfort reading numbers, identifying gaps, and correcting course in real time.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving monthly revenue goals aligned to company targets
- Monitoring team Sales Per Hour (SPH)
- Protecting average order value
- Increasing consult-to-close conversion
- Managing pipeline health across the team
- Understanding remake impact and margin protection
2. Team Leadership & Hiring AuthorityThe Store Manager builds, trains, and develops the Calgary retail team. The Store Manager sets the performance standard.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in hiring decisions
- Leading onboarding and Shadow → Show → Sign-Off training
- Conducting weekly one-on-ones
- Running weekly sales reviews
- Coaching objection handling and closing discipline
- Addressing underperformance directly
- Recommending promotions or terminations when necessary
3. Operational ExcellenceThe Store Manager ensures flawless execution inside the showroom. Accuracy and discipline are non-negotiable.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining premium visual merchandising standards
- Overseeing inventory accuracy (swatches, POS supplies, displays)
- Ensuring cart and payment accuracy (zero tolerance for errors)
- Monitoring spec sheet completion timelines
- Protecting margin through disciplined process
- Managing store scheduling and floor coverage
- Leading local showroom events and activations
4. Customer Experience & EscalationsThe Store Manager protects the CouchHaus brand in Calgary. The Store Manager must remain calm, decisive, and brand-aligned in difficult situations.
They are responsible for:
- Handling client escalations
- Managing delivery complaints
- Resolving service breakdowns
- Ensuring “On Stage” professionalism
- Protecting brand tone in every interaction
5. Local Market GrowthAs the first leader in Calgary, this role carries market ownership. This is not just store management — it is brand expansion leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with local designers and realtors
- Supporting community activations
- Driving showroom awareness
- Representing CouchHaus in-market
