About Canucks Autism Network (CAN):Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while building inclusive communities where individuals o the autism spectrum can thrive. Position Purpose:The Training Administration Assistant works to support the CAN Training Team to advance the vision of Canucks Autism Network for every individual on the autism spectrum to be understood, accepted and supported in all community spaces. This includes a range of activities such as assisting with booking and facilitating training workshops (both in-person and virtual), creating customized resources for community groups and supporting CAN's internal staff training. Reporting to the Education Specialist, the Training and Administration Assistant works collaboratively with other team members to respond to the high volume of requests from the community.
Key FunctionsAdministration:- Department email management and support with responding to requests
- Tracking service agreements and deliverables
- Meeting support, including note taking, bookings, and email follow-up
- Tracking and reporting on training data to respective CAN departments
- Booking facility space for CAN staff and volunteer training
- Assisting with enrolling users in Learning Management System
- Tracking staff training progression and completion
- Tracking value-in-kind agreements between CAN departments and external partners
- Assisting CAN’s Training and Accessibility Coordinator with community training bookings
Training Delivery and Resource Support:- Deliver Training workshops in the community as needed
- Support CAN’s Education Specialist with creating PowerPoint presentations
- Creating customized visual resources and supports for community groups
- Overseeing the production of sensory kits (ordering supplies, assembling kits)
- Collaborating with departments to create marketing assets
Additional Tasks:- Support with the promotion of CAN Training Services
- Represent Canucks Autism Network at various community events
- Potential evening and weekend work (training delivery)
- Occasional travel for training delivery
Qualifications & Experience- 1-2 years of administrative experience within a non-profit setting is preferred
- Experience with Canucks Autism Network’s training team is an asset
- Experience presenting workshops is an asset
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships over the phone, in-person and via email
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Sharepoint, Excel, Powerpoint, and Docebo/ Learning Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of the various barriers Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals face in community settings
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Passionate about inclusion and accessibility
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with wide range of individuals
- Exceptional work ethic and strong integrity

- A valid BC Driver’s License
