We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join a team driving a significant transformational project within the Learning & Development (L&D) space. You will be instrumental in the end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, preferably within an L&D or adult training environment, and is adept at managing stakeholders, risks, and budgets.
You will play a key role in developing a comprehensive understanding of how assigned projects align with broader business priorities and will lead L&D processes to implement various learning solutions, including in-person, virtual, eLearning, and workshops. This position offers the opportunity to be an active member of the broader project management community and champion continuous improvement.
This is a 6-month contract requiring the talent to work onsite 4 days per week at the client's office in downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects, leveraging key project management tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop an understanding of the overall portfolio/program movement with individual lines of business and rationalize how assigned projects fit with business priorities in the long term.
- Drive L&D processes to implement learning solutions in various formats, including in-person or virtual Instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, webinars, self-directed learner pathways, and workshops.
- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies, building relationships and maintaining regular communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report on project progress with project teams and business stakeholders at different levels, including status calls.
- Ensure tight governance control and actively manage/resolve risks and issues, and manage stakeholders.
- In partnership with L&D CoEs and business partners, support the development of a delivery strategy, change & launch communications plan, and maintenance plan.
- Support the vendor selection, engagement, and onboarding process when third-party learning solutions are within scope.
- Conduct project retrospectives and act on lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging trends in project management, including Agile and hybrid project practices and principles, and share subject matter expertise to advance professional growth.
Requirements- 5+ years of Project Management experience is a must, specifically managing medium to high complexity projects.
- Project Manager experience in Learning & Development (L&D) (5 years).
- Experience in the Banking, financial industry, or insurance space is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project and the broader MS Office suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build relationships effectively, leveraging sound communication, negotiation, consensus-building, and influencing skills.
- Solutions-focused, "can-do" attitude to foster positive team morale and high engagement.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently with changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP, Agile, and/or Scrum certification is a nice to have
- Experience with LMS, LXP, eLearning tools, and standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, HTML 5) and development software (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rice) is a nice to have.
