This role involves operating a commercial semi to transport materials between job sites while maintaining punctuality, professionalism, and strict adherence to safety standards. Candidates must hold a valid Class 1A license and maintain a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities- Operate commercial trucks to transport aggregate materials to designated locations.
- Complete thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, shipping documents, and basic maintenance reports.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues when required.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company procedures during transport.
- Communicate effectively with the owner, dispatch, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications- Valid Class 1A commercial driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Previous experience in commercial driving, aggregate hauling, or freight transport is an asset.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with minor troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
