Job OverviewThe Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of millwork products, cabinetry, and materials to job sites, suppliers, and other locations. This role includes loading and unloading finished goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage, and coordinating with the shop and installation teams to meet delivery schedules. The driver represents the company on-site and must maintain professionalism at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport millwork products and materials
- Load and unload cabinets, panels, and components with care to prevent damage
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport
- Verify orders before delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Deliver products to job sites, warehouses, and customers on schedule
- Assist installers on-site with unloading and placement when required
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate with the shop and project coordinator regarding delivery schedules and delays
- Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and required documentation
- Assist in the shop or warehouse when deliveries are not scheduled
- Report any damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies immediately
Skills & Requirements- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving trucks (cube van or larger preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and handle large millwork components
- Knowledge of safe loading and material handling practices
- Strong time management and reliability
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
