VIRTUAL SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM EA/ECE (x2)Vacancy Status: New Contract Vacancy
Term appointment - July 2, 2026 to July 24, 2026 Rate of Pay - $32.00/hr
The Summer Learning Program Team will be working over the next couple of months to ensure that the Summer Learning Program offered by the Board addresses student and system needs in a virtual learning environment.
Work may be required of the Summer Learning Program EA's/ECE's prior to the start of the program so that she/he may cooperatively plan with the Summer Learning team to support the set up of classrooms and contact of families in order to deliver this virtual program. The program will be delivered within a virtual platform with two multi-grade classrooms and will include 2 hours of synchronous live instruction and/or individual student support and 1 hour for parent engagement and professional learning.
Position Requirements- Diploma or certificate as an Educational Assistant, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker or related program or three (3) years of related experience.
- Minimum of one-year experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with a full range of students, including students with special needs, utilizing specific skills and training.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and outside agencies.
- Ability to provide instructional, behaviour and student support.
- Ability to use patience, empathy and understanding in developing and maintaining a rapport with students and in resolving problems or issues that may arise.
