OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations within a dynamic distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with various heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role is vital in ensuring efficient order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, FIFO and maintaining safety standards across the facility.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, shipping, order picking, packaging, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and general warehouse safety standards.
- Lead efforts in order fulfillment accuracy, timely shipment processing, and proper packaging procedures.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, coordinate logistics schedules, and liaise with carriers for transportation needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment conducive to productivity and safety.
Experience- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a distribution or manufacturing setting.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, and packaging processes.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems an asset
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with order picker operation, load & unload procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and construction-related logistics is advantageous.
